Our signature activity to bring joy to adults at the holiday time is the JoyCatchers Tree Trim. Many of these activities repeat every year. Some are in their 11th year.

JoyCatchers Annual Tree Trim Friends, families, co-workers gather to decorate trees, selecting from hundreds of decorations paid for with monetary donations and contributions from caring individuals. Held every December.

Cancer Support Community Benjamin Center A festive Tree Trim with fun and remembering what the holidays are all about – sharing joy! Second year for participants to decorate trees for themselves or others in need of extra joy.

Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara An inspiring tree trimming party brought to this organization’s location for participants to catch the joy of decorating trees to enjoy for the holiday season. New in 2016.

Christmas in July Tree Trim Party Monica’s Crafting group adopted JoyCatchers as their 2016 charity to support and delivered fully decorated trees and donated left over supplies.

Family and Friends Tree Trim A family with a tradition of doing good for others decorates over one month with an increasing number of people including neighbors and co-workers all wanting to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Girls PACT Community Event Tree Trimming JoyCatchers and Girl PACT collaborated in 2016 to bring teenagers and adults together for this feel-good community activity to decorate mini trees for homeless women and veterans.

New Directions for Veterans Since 2009, JoyCatchers Tree Trim activity has come to this nonprofit serving veterans for an evening of camaraderie, laughter, sharing stories and feeling the holiday spirit which for many has been lost long ago. It’s a time to recapture the joy of the season.

P.E.O. Chapter MP JoyCatchers brings trees and supplies to this group of philanthropic women who decorate trees. JoyCatchers gives to veterans and seniors, those alone or in assisted living. New in 2015.

Westchester Senior Center Tree Trim Westchester Senior Citizens Club and Westchester Woman’s Club decorate trees for themselves, neighbors in need, or for JoyCatchers to give to seniors and veterans. October tradition since 2014.

WISE Adult Day Service Center Seniors with varying levels of memory loss have a joyful time creating their own trees from all the decorations and trees brought to them by JoyCatchers. A creative experience for them since 2009.
